Faulting at the limit of seismic resolution, offshore NW Morocco - annotated. Interpretation

VSA Author: Rob Butler
Date Created: 2021-02-01

Annotated version. Faults in ?contourites The faults are represented variably with depth as frequency and amplitude of reflectors vary. Do the complex patterns to R of section represent closely spaced faults (i.e. real geological deformation) or seismic noise (or both!). The bright, inclined reflectors - are these remobiilsed sand - (sandstone injections) along fault planes, or seismic artifacts!?
