FIRE 4 and 4A interpretation Interpretation

VSA Author:
Date Created: 2010-01-14

This interpretation of FIRE 4B is by Patison et al. (2006). In the interpretation, surface lithology is correlated with seismic reflectors. The covered geological units range from Archaean (3.5 Ga) to Palaeoproterozoic (1.74 Ga) greenstone, granulite and schist belts modified by complex deformation and magmatic events. For details see Patison, N. L., Korja, A., Lahtinen, R., Ojala, V. J., and the FIRE working group 2006 in Kukkonen, Ilmo T. & Lahtinen, Raimo (eds.) 2006. Finnish Reflection Experiment FIRE 2001-2005. Geological Survey of Finland, Special Paper 43, 247 p.; see docs & links for a reference link.
