This interpretation of FIRE 4B is by Patison et al. (2006). In the interpretation, surface lithology is correlated with seismic reflectors. The covered geological units range from Archaean (3.5 Ga) to Palaeoproterozoic (1.74 Ga) greenstone, granulite and schist belts modified by complex deformation and magmatic events.
