Interpretation by Nironen et al. (2006). The FIRE 2A (and 2) deep seismic reflection profiles were designed to study the relationships between the arc complexes of western and southern Finland and their internal structures (see docs & links for a location map). FIRE 2A wiggles through the Häme and Uusimaa belts of the arc complex of southern Finland, including the E-W trending Late Svecofennian granite-migmatite zone. The surface geology is correlated with the upper crustal (0-8 km) reflection properties in this interpretation, the overview of which is presented here. For details, see Nironen et al.
